Your privacy is our priority. ComicDeck is built to be an offline-first tool, meaning your data, comic collection, and reading habits stay securely on your device.
1 No Telemetry or Tracking
ComicDeck does not track you.
- Zero Analytics: We do not use third-party analytics trackers, crash reporters, or usage metric tools.
- No Accounts Required: You do not need an account to use ComicDeck. Your reading progress is saved locally.
2 On-Device Processing
All computational features happen strictly on your hardware.
- Smart Panel Zoom: Panel detection utilizes Apple's CoreML technology entirely offline. Your comic pages are never sent to a cloud server for processing.
- CoreImage Enhancements: Image filters and scaling happen directly on your device’s GPU.
3 Network Capabilities
ComicDeck only accesses networks when you explicitly tell it to.
- Wi-Fi Transfer: We request Local Network Access to host a local web server so you can upload files from your computer.
- NAS & OPDS: The app connects to external servers only if you manually input WebDAV/OPDS URLs and credentials.
- Credentials: Usernames and passwords for personal servers are stored securely on your device and are never shared with us.
4 Data Storage
You control where your files live.
- Local Library: Imported comics are saved directly to your device's Documents folder.
- Temporary Caches: Thumbnail caches and temporary downloads are routinely cleared by the OS to save space.
