We do not want your personal data. ZipDiplomat operates entirely locally on your Mac.
- No files or file names are ever uploaded to our servers.
- No accounts, emails, or logins are required to use the app.
2 Local File Processing
ZipDiplomat is a standalone macOS archiving utility.
- The app does not require an active internet connection to compress or format your files.
- Your file contents, directory structures, and metadata are never transmitted over the internet.
3 App Sandbox & Permissions
ZipDiplomat adheres strictly to Apple's App Sandbox security standards.
- The app cannot access files or folders on your Mac without your explicit consent.
- Folder access permissions you grant are stored locally on your device as secure, persistent bookmarks.
4 Passwords & Encryption
ZipDiplomat Pro allows you to secure archives using custom passwords.
- Passwords are passed directly to the native macOS zip utility to encrypt your files.
- We do not log, store, or transmit your passwords anywhere.
5 In-App Purchases
ZipDiplomat offers a Pro Unlock processed entirely by Apple's App Store.
- We do not collect, process, or store your credit card information.
- We only receive an anonymous digital receipt to permanently unlock your premium features.
6 Analytics & Tracking
We do not use invasive third-party tracking SDKs or ad networks.
- We do not track your activity across other apps or websites.
- We only have access to anonymized crash reports and basic download metrics provided directly by Apple (if you opted in via your macOS settings).
7 Data Retention
Because we do not collect your personal data, we do not store it.
- Your custom settings (like ignore rules, compression levels) are saved locally via macOS UserDefaults.
- Uninstalling the app from your Mac will permanently delete your local preferences and folder permissions.
8 Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect new features or macOS changes.
- Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
- Continued use of the app implies your consent to the updated policy.
